Proveniq: An AI License Review Is Only Useful When It Can Show Its Evidence

What happens when you download an asset, use AI to review its license, and discover later that you cannot prove where the information came from? Imagine finding the perfect illustration, icon, font, or code snippet for a project. You save it, start building, and move on. A few weeks later, you need to answer some basic questions: Where did this asset come from? Who created it? What license applies to it? Does that license permit my intended use? Can I prove why I believe it is safe to use? Somet

How to Add Business Days to a Date (and Why + 5 Days Is Wrong): A Business Day API Tutorial

"Payment is due in 5 business days." "We ship within 3 business days." "Settlement is T+1." Every one of these turns into a line of code somewhere, and that line is usually wrong. This post works through the problem one step at a time: the naive version, the weekend-aware version, the holiday-aware version, and finally a business day API call. At each step we'll see exactly which date it gets wrong. The running example is an invoice dated Monday, 23 November 2026, due in 5 business days, in the

Why New Blog Posts Reach Feed Readers Hours Late, and Which Platforms Send a WebSub Hub

A new post shows up in a feed reader only when the reader next fetches your feed. Most readers fetch on a schedule, and for a small blog that schedule is slow. Feedly's free plan checks a feed anywhere from every 30 minutes to once a day. The way around it is a WebSub hub. Your feed names a hub, your platform pings it when you publish, and readers subscribed to the hub get the post when the hub pushes it. On October 19, 2026 I fetched one feed from each of ten blogging platforms to see which one

QuoteFlow: voice-to-estimate for contractors (HF26 Side Hustle)

This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 2: Side Hustle QuoteFlow turns messy jobsite notes (voice or text) into an itemized, region-aware estimate a contractor can send the same evening — materials, labor, equipment, permits, tax, branded PDF, and a copy/SMS/WhatsApp send loop. Who would pay: solo plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, and remodelers. They lose jobs when the quote lands late, and they lose evenings writing spreadsheets. Their alternatives are expens

Google Photos + AI Storage Assistant

This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 2: Side Hustle You know that notification you get on your phone saying your storage is almost full? I get it every few days, and honestly, it's annoying. Whenever I see it, I open my gallery and start looking for photos I can delete. But then I find so many similar pictures, random screenshots, and photos I don't even remember saving. Sometimes I want to delete a photo, but I stop because I'm not sure if I'll need it later.

Leaving WordPress With AMP: Find Every /amp/ and ?amp=1 URL Before the Old Site Goes Offline

If your WordPress blog ever ran an AMP plugin, every post had a second address. Usually /post-name/amp/ or /post-name/?amp=1. Those URLs are still in Google's index and in old shares, and once you move to a host without AMP the /amp/ ones start returning 404. Google's steps for removing AMP pages while keeping the canonical page are short: take the rel="amphtml" link off the canonical page, and answer each AMP URL with a 301 or 302 to that canonical page. The hard part is knowing which AMP URLs

Server-side paging and sorting for an HTML table, with one async function

You want a table that pages and sorts on the server. Usually that means state for the page, the sort, the loading flag and the total, plus code that throws away answers that arrive too late. With you write one async function, and the table keeps the state. Most hand-written server tables look like this: let page = 1; let sort = { column: 'orderDate', direction: 'desc' }; async function load() { showSpinner(); const response = await fetch(`/api/orders?page=${page}&sort=${sort.column}&direction=${

Architectural Evolution: From Monolithic LLM Agents to Specialized Multi-Agent Swarms

Abstract. The single-process, single-context LLM agent is a prototyping artifact that has been mistaken for an architecture. This essay argues that its failure modes are not prompt-engineering defects but structural ones, and describes a four-tier topology that replaces one unbounded context with four bounded ones, adds always-on background cognition as a first-class subsystem, and splits control-plane orchestration on constrained edge hardware from data-plane inference on ephemeral cloud GPUs.

Your weekly status meeting is a page nobody wrote

Add up the chairs in your Monday status meeting. Eight people, one hour, every week. That is a full working day, every week, spent reading out loud. Nobody enjoys that meeting, and it survives anyway. It survives because it is the only working system the company has for answering one question: where is this. Until something else answers that question, canceling the meeting does not free the hour. It shatters the hour into forty small interruptions, because the question does not go away. It turns

Search Console's "Why Pages Aren't Indexed" on a Blog: Which Rows Actually Need Work

The first time I opened the Page indexing report for a blog I run, the "Why pages aren't indexed" table had more URLs in it than the blog had posts. That looked bad. It mostly wasn't. An http:// address that redirects, a ?utm_source= link whose canonical points at the clean URL, an RSS feed sent with a noindex header... all of those land in that table, and none of them should be in search results anyway. Google's Page indexing report documentation says the same: most sites have some unindexed pa

FIELD GUIDE · PURPOSE AND BOUNDARIES

AI-Powered Newsfeed: practical use and context

The news collection helps readers browse published items and follow their context. It is a discovery surface, not a guarantee that every headline is current, independently verified or relevant to a particular decision.

↑ Back to the application
AI-Powered Newsfeed publication artwork; not a screenshot of results
Application artwork reused from its publication image family. The interactive interface is above.

Read beyond the headline

Browse the available items and open the full article that relates to your question. Check the publication date, source and surrounding explanation before treating a headline as evidence. A collection can contain items from different periods. The order in a feed is a presentation choice, not proof of importance or a representative survey of everything happening in a subject area.

When following an external source, read its original context and distinguish reported facts, analysis and opinion. An excerpt can omit qualifications that matter. If an item concerns a changing situation, seek the latest primary source rather than relying only on the collection’s summary.

Use a news item to frame a research question

Choose an energy-related story, note its date and claim, then compare the relevant observation period in Petroleum Observatory. Keep the article’s explanation separate from the official data series. A simultaneous change in two charts does not verify a causal statement in a headline. Record what additional evidence would be needed before making that claim.

For a marketing briefing, summarize why an item matters to the audience and link to the original reading destination. Avoid copying an entire article or presenting another publisher’s reporting as your own. Relevant context is more useful than a large undifferentiated list of links.

Availability and editorial judgment

Source pages may move, require subscriptions or become unavailable. An available headline does not promise access to the complete external article. Dates and excerpts can be supplied by upstream feeds, so verify them where a decision depends on recency. The collection does not provide investment, medical or legal advice and does not independently certify all source claims.
