Gematria Calculator — Jewish, English & Simple

Gematria Calculator assigns numerical values to letters and adds them. Enter a word or phrase for Jewish, English and Simple totals, or enter a whole number to find stored phrases with that value. Results are computed from fixed tables, not generated by AI.

How to use the app

  1. Enter a phrase or whole number in the labeled search field.
  2. Read the instant totals, then select Calculate to open a shareable results page.
  3. Inspect the letter breakdown and matching phrases. Consult Methods for the exact values used.

What the three totals mean

Simple gematria assigns the Latin letters a through z the values 1 through 26. English gematria multiplies each Simple value by six. The Jewish cipher uses the supplied non-ordinal Latin mapping and also supports standard Hebrew letter values, including final forms. These are three defined calculation systems; their names do not imply that all traditions use the same mappings. The Methods page exposes the complete tables so every total can be checked by hand.

Normalization and number searches

Input is normalized with Unicode NFKC. Latin letter case does not change a score. Whitespace, punctuation, digits in a mixed phrase and characters absent from the tables contribute zero. Accented letters are not transliterated into unaccented Latin letters. A whole-number query searches archive totals rather than adding its digits. Phrase results compare Jewish totals; number results can match any of the three systems. Results display which system produced each match.

Scope of the archive and interpretation

The included archive comes from the uploaded offline package. Totals are recalculated from its phrase text using the same engine as the calculator. Historical search counts belong to that source snapshot; they are not this website’s traffic and do not update as you search. Archive text is quoted data, not an endorsement. Equal numerical totals show an arithmetic relationship only: they do not establish meaning, causation, predictions or facts about people. No external phrase service is queried.

Questions and answers

What is gematria?

Gematria assigns numerical values to letters and sums them so that words and phrases can be compared under a specified cipher.

How much is god in these systems?

god has Jewish total 61, English total 156 and Simple total 26. The Simple calculation is 7 + 15 + 4; the English total is six times 26.

Does this calculator use AI to interpret words?

No. It performs fixed-table integer arithmetic and searches the bundled archive. It does not generate interpretations.
